Plan to return to Practice

This plan was developed with the goal of reducing the risk of exposure and transmission of the COVID-19 for patients and the practitioner at New Energy Bowen Therapy. We will identify the actions that myself, the practitioner and patients will implement and commit to in order to resume clinical practice as of May 30th, 2020. This policy is not meant to supersede guidelines/policies placed on Practitioners by their respective governing bodies or the Province of British Columbia. This document will be in effect until further notice and changes will be made as needed as per governing bodies and communicated to patients directly.

These protocols are being implemented in order to help reduce potential coronavirus transmission by:

  • Mandatory ongoing self-assessment for signs of COVID-19 related illness in practitioner and patients

  • Following social distancing guidelines to reduce all physical, non-treatment related interactions between practitioner and patients

  • Washing hands and/or use of Hand Sanitizer requirements

  • Avoid touching eyes, mouth, and nose

  • Enhanced cleaning protocols

  • Appropriate use of personal protective equipment

  • Following guidelines and recommendations from the Proving of British Colombia and Bowen College as well as BC RMT board

No Patient or Practitioner will enter the office if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness, even if symptoms are thought to be mild or the result of a non-COVID related illness.

Symptoms include but are not limited to; fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, chills, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of taste or smell and other symptoms due to illness.

  • Patients will be asked to CANCEL appointments if any symptoms arise between booking and their appointment time. Patients will not incur late cancellation fees due to illness.

  • Patients will be asked to sign a waiver indicating that they are free of COVID-19 symptoms, have not travelled abroad in the last 14 days and have not encountered anyone that has COVID-19 symptoms and understand that due to the nature of Bowen Therapy and Scar Tissue Release Therapy that physical distancing is not possible in the treatment room.
